Athidi on 3 October

The shooting of Athidi film is going on a brisk pace now. The shooting of the film is currently going on in Aluminum factory in Hyderabad. Mani Sharma composes music. The audio will be released on 5 September and the movie is expected to hit the marquee on 3rd October.

Chirutha audio on 22 August

Music of Ram Charan Teja’s debut film Chirutha is all set to release on 22nd August 2007, which happens to be the birthday of Chiranjeevi. Aditya music will release the music directly into the market. There will not be any audio function as Chiranjeevi is out of country. Currently the introduction song of hero is going on in the dance direction of Lawrence. The unit would go to Australia to shoot the remaining two songs on Ram Charan Teja and Neha. The expected release date of the film is 14 September

Two biggies on Aug 24!

Eight films are set to go on the floors on the auspicious Varamahalakshmi day – 24th of this month.
Two biggies that are releasing will be – Mathad Mathadu Mallige starring Dr.Vishnu, Suhasini, Sudeep in lead roles produced by Gandugali K.Manju and directed by ace director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar.
The other film is 'Gandana Mane' starring Shivarajkumar, Gowri Munjal produced by RS Gowda under the direction of S.Mahender is also set for release all over Karnataka on the same day.

Wedding bells!


The wedding date of actor Vijaya Raghavendra and Spandana is fixed for 26th of August in Bangalore at Gayathri Vihar, Palace Grounds.
Actor Vijaya Raghavendra the national award winning child actor turned hero from 'Ninagaagi' has got a moderate success rate in his career. He is very closely related to Dr.Rajkumar family. Spandana is the daughter of B.K.Shivaram, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Karnataka.
Dr.Kadri Gopalnath saxophone and Pundit Narasimha Vadavati clarionet Jugalbandi musical program is arranged for the wedding reception.

'MMM' premiere


The much hyped Kannada film 'Mathad Mathadu Mallige' premiere is on August 22 at Narthaki theatre in Belgaum district, the border of Karnataka and Maharashtra.
“This is the film aimed at the interests of farmers in the wake of major onslaught from MNC's. That's why we are having preview in a place far away from Bangalore”: says director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar.
The artiste team headed by Dr.Vishnuvardhana, technicians, farmer leaders, Sri Prabhakar Kore the big shot in Belgaum, theatre artistes, writers, cultural leaders, environmentalists are all taking part in the preview at 5 pm at Narthaki theatre in Belgaum.
The Karnataka government held assembly session at Belgaum sometime back and now a high ranking film preview is taking place at this place. In another special show at Bangalore, Mr Manirathnam, Suhasini, environmentalist Medha Patekar and others are attending the show.
Lakshmisri Combines biggest venture in Kannada starring Dr.Vishnuvardhana, Suhasini, Sudeep and others is produced by K.Manju. Mano Murthy has scored the music and Krishnakumar is the cameraman.

Mohanlal- Mega bucks!


Mohanlal has become, Malayalam cinema's highest paid actor with Thulasidas directed College Kumaran, produced by Emil and Eric. He also becomes the first actor to get an eight figure Sambalam (Salary), for a Malayalam film!
Mohanlal is reported to have been paid a whopping Rs 1.25 crore to do College Kumaran, by the producers who are real estate dealers from Trichur with NRI connections. Lal ettan was earlier charging in the Rs 60 to Rs 75 Lakhs range. But for College Kumaran, he has given priority Tatkal dates.
The Pooja of the film took place in Kozhikode on Sunday, July 15, two days before the inauspicious Karkada masam starts. Vimala Raman is the heroine of the film, and the shoot will start as soon as Mohanlal completes his Ali Bhai by July 20.
Mohanlal plays a chronic bachelor and college canteen supervisor, who advices the students on everything under the sun, including matters of love! College Kumaran is slated for Ramzan release on October 12.

Mohanlal injured!


Superstar Mohanlal was injured during the climax action scenes of his Onam film Ali Bhai in Red Hills location near Chennai.
What happened was that a dummy gun held by the "villain"( a Mumbai actor) accidentally went off during the shoot, hitting Mohanlal in the lower eyelid. Immediately director Shaji Kailas and other unit members rushed him to a nearby hospital, and first aid was provided.
After an hour, Lal was back to the sets, and completed the shot. The complete professional that he is, he went for the dubbing of the film in the evening.
Later speaking to media, Mohanlal said: "Nothing to worry about, I fealt a minor irritation on my face. All these are occupational haphazards, when you do action scenes."
